Shipping Policy

All orders are carefully packaged by hand. Please allow 3–5 business days for your order to be prepared for shipment.
During collection launches or holiday periods, processing may take a little longer.

Domestic Shipping (U.S.)

- Flat rate of $7 on all domestic orders
- Free shipping for orders over $100
- All packages include tracking
- Typical delivery time: 2–5 business days

International Shipping

We ship worldwide! Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and weight. 
Delivery times vary by country and carrier (usually 2–4 weeks). Tracking may be limited in some regions.

Duties & Taxes for International Orders

• DHL Express shipments: Duties and import taxes are calculated and charged at checkout, so your package arrives with no surprise fees.
• USPS International shipments: Duties are NOT collected at checkout. Buyers may be responsible for any VAT, customs fees, import taxes, or handling charges required by their country.

If a package is returned due to unpaid customs fees, original shipping costs are non-refundable.

Lost or Damaged Packages

Once a package is handed over to the carrier, The Curious Skein is not responsible for delays, loss, or damage during transit. 

If something goes wrong:

1. Please contact your carrier first using your tracking information.
2. Then email us at hello@thecuriousskein.com and we'll do everything we can to help you open a case with the carrier.
   
   

Returns & Refund Policy

All yarns are hand-dyed in small batches. Variations in color, tone, and speckling are normal and not considered defects.
If you plan to use multiple skeins for a project, we recommend alternating skeins every few rows.

Returns

We only accept returns for defective or incorrect items. 
Contact us within 7 days of delivery at thecuriousskein@gmail.com.
Returned yarn must be unused, unwound, and in its original condition.
Return shipping costs are the buyer’s responsibility unless the return is due to our error.

Refunds & Exchanges

Refunds apply only to product cost, not original shipping fees. 
We do not offer exchanges; please place a new order after refund approval.

Non-Returnable Items

We cannot accept returns on custom orders, sale items, gift cards, digital downloads, or subscription boxes.

International Orders

International customers are responsible for customs duties or tariffs. 
Packages returned for unpaid fees will not have shipping refunded.

We reserve the right to cancel any order due to errors, suspected fraud, or incomplete information.
